I Forget Where We Were

On Thursday’s we listen to music.

I will feature either a song, album or a concert I checked out and dedicate that post to just music. I love music so much it has always stirred up emotions: happiness, sadness, anger and everything in between within me.

Music is my ultimate love language.  Continue reading I Forget Where We Were

Nothing better than realizing your work week is OVER! Not like I have a strenuous job, but the fact that I don’t have to be talking on the phone all day is a huge plus for me.

Especially, this week because for some reason I keep losing my voice – so weird.

There is nothing particularly exciting going on this weekend:

TGIF: I Just Can’t Stop Listening

Happy Friday! This week felt like the longest week and a highly busy one and my weekend is equally as busy. But, since I finally got some time to breathe I thought I share music I have been not obsessing over but, been dancing too for weeks:

I have been loving some Tame Impala this month. I use to listen to their last album “Lonerism” and I loved the track “Elephant” so much! But, some reason I kind of stopped listening to them{and yes, they are played on the radio} but, as you probably know I don’t normally listen to the radio so I might have missed some singles. I was vacationing with friends at OBX this past September and our friend had me play “Disciples” from their new album Currants and I was like this song is cool! So, I decided to listen to the new album and I am so happy I did! Ever since we left OBX{Outer Banks, NC}, I just can’t stop listening to this album while I cook, clean, especially drive, the dance vibes are their guys!

I hope you enjoy this album as much as I do!

Till next time!

TGIF: I Just Can’t Stop Listening

Is it seriously October 2nd already?! I felt like September wasn’t even here. I turned 28 and that was it. It was over. But, this past week has been a good week and so has been my Spotify shuffle on my Starred playlist.

This is one of my all time favorite songs. I never get sick of it. I always sway and sing along. And when it randomly appears on shuffle and the song is over, I immediately replay it. Its been on constant repeat all week. It just felt right. Then again this song is always on constant repeat.

Rosa by Grimes

I’ve accidentally stumbled upon this song. I was never a huge fan of Grimes but, I did enjoy her popular songs and also, quite honestly, I never actually tried to listen to any of her albums{maybe I should} but, ya know life got in the way. I use to follow TropRouge she is a blogger and shared her top 5 songs and this was one of them and I just fell in love! I was like “why am I just now hearing this song?” This is a song you can also zone out to, play at a party while everyone is talking. Its tempo is low enough yet, it does capture your attention{that probably made no sense}.

Till next post! Get ready! Its a review!

TGIF: I Just Can’t Stop Listening

Good morning everyone! Its a beautiful Friday morning and I realized I failed to post my TGIF music pick for last week and well, I intend on doing what I planed out to do. So, without further ado here is the song that has been played non-stop this week:

All Around Me by Flyleaf

Okay, please, don’t laugh! My husband likes rock music, straight up rock, I am talking Stone Temple Pilots, Incubus, Nine Inch Nails etc. That is what he is into, me I am not so much. I like my indie rock bands the most. That is what I gravitate to when it comes to music. We were sitting outside having dinner and since he was tired of listening to my music we played a radio off of Spotify for his music. This song came on. I was like “I HAVE NOT HEARD THIS SONG IN YEARS!” And I have been listening to it non-stop. I kid you not, its on my Starred playlist and I play it regularly. It just reminds me of being a teenager again. I use to be really into emo/pop-punk{glad those days are dead} bands and this was just part of that genre. It reminded me of Warped Tour{again, happy those days are dead} every year it just brought back a lot of feelings. Good feelings and some embarrassing times too. But, hey, that is life.
